Role Introduction

Reports to: Alliance and Frequent Flyer Manager

The job holder will be one of the CX representatives at oneworld alliance meetings. As the oneworld Project Director, he or she will be responsible for liaising with oneworld Management Company and internal stakeholders to develop, coordinate and implement oneworld initiatives and strategy on behalf of CX. He/she will also be involved in interline ancillaries, and will support in conducting assessments on lounge proposals from interline partners (third party usage of CX lounges).

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the key liaison person between CX Group and oneworld Management Company.
  • Represent CX as oneworld Project Director and ensure CX’s interest is well represented in oneworld meetings. Coordinate, support and prepare for oneworld meetings.
  • Review and assess the benefits of oneworld initiatives and participate in its design and implementation.
  • Coordinate all oneworld issues and activities within the Group. Participate and drive alliance related projects and studies.
  • Conduct regular reviews on alliance activities to ensure benefits are being delivered.
  • Ensure all oneworld deliverables are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Keep track of industry alliance activities and conduct research when required.
  • Provide trainings and updates to internal users about oneworld.
  • Assess benefits of lounge partnerships to maximize ancillary revenue from interline partners. Engage in negotiation with interline partners.
  • Support the Alliance and Frequent Flyer Manager in ad hoc studies. 

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience. Airline experience is preferable.
  • Project management experience would be an advantage.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written and spoken).
  • Excellent influencing skills or lobbying experience.
  • Good analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Willing to travel at least once every quarter.
