The EIB, the European Union's bank is seeking to recruit for its Projects Directorate (PJ), MOBILITY Department (MOBILITY), Air, Maritime & Innovative Transport Division (AMIT) at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a (Senior) Clean Transport Technologies Engineer. This is a full time position at grade 5/6.
The term of this contract will be 4 years.
Panel interviews are anticipated for mid/end June.
The EIB offers fixed-term contracts of up to a maximum of 6 years, according to business needs, with a possibility to convert to a permanent contract, subject to organisational requirements and individual performance.Purpose
The (Senior) Clean Transport Technologies Engineer (internally referred to as (Senior) Sector Engineer) advises and contributes, within multi-disciplinary teams, to reorienting and expanding the pipeline of lending operations involving clean land and air transport technology solutions, in line with the EIB Climate Bank Roadmap objectives.Operating Network
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Division for Air, Maritime and Innovative Transport and will work in close contact with the other engineers and economists from the MOBILITY Department, as well as in a multi-disciplinary team for project and horizontal work. The division is multidisciplinary and composed out of different content matter experts.
His/her contribution to the implementation of operations requires close cooperation with other services in the Bank namely in Lending, Legal and Transaction Management. The position actively also participates in horizontal tasks within MOBILITY, provide advice to internal and external stakeholders and represent the Bank at external events and during missions.
